Root Canal Procedure Should Be Pain-Free

A deep infection can threaten the health of your tooth, which left untreated, can lead to tooth loss. Dr. Mason Bahador works hard preserve your existing teeth and keep your mouth healthy. During your appointment, Dr. Bahador and team will assess the extent of your dental decay or infection and advise you on whether a root canal is the right procedure for you.

Root canal treatment, also known as a root canal, is an endodontic therapy that is frequently recommended when the tooth pulp and nerves are infected or damaged. This can happen if an injury or decay penetrates the tooth’s outer enamel layer. This type of infection and disease, if left untreated, can cause tooth damage and lead to a tooth extraction. To save the tooth and avoid extraction, Dr. Bahador will remove infected tissues (the pulp) of the tooth, clean it, and replace it with medicated material. We then place a dental crown over the tooth to restore its original shape and structure. A root canal procedure can take one or two appointments at our Westerville office.

There are many misconceptions about the Root Canal procedure, specifically around the pain involved with the procedure. Our expert use of sedation and anesthesia, combined with endodontic technology, provide a root canal treatment with minimal discomfort.  Dr. Bahador, along with the rest of our dental team, works hard to make each visit to our office a good experience.
